08.26.09: Deceptive ploy directed at California corporations and limited liability companies! Here is a letter from the California Secretary of State alerting you of a deceptive ploy that is being directed at California corporations and limited liability companies. Fake forms are being sent to California businesses encouraging them to comply with their California Corporations Code filing obligations by submitting fees and documentation to a third party instead of the Secretary of State's office. Anyone receiving a solicitation letter is urged to contact the California Attorney General's Office at (800) 952-5225.

They're the Army's waterboys -- & proud of it. Members of the 559th Quartermaster Battalion returned to a hero's welcome in Savannah, Georgia, this week. While they didn't fight on the front lines in Iraq, these GI's kept the others going. The battalion is the only active-duty unit whose sole job is to collect water.
