02.29.08: Ross is once again teaching a Professional Responsibility class at USD this fall. 02.14.08: On April 2nd, Ross, together with Wendy Patrick Mazzarella, is participating in another telephone seminar sponsored by the American Law Institute-American Bar Association regarding client confidentiality. 02.11.08: The Simmons Firm is proud to announce that our very own Diana M. Niquette has been recognized as one of San Diego’s Distinguished Paralegals for 2008! Way to go, Diana! 01.22.08: Ross will speak at the 15th Annual Fair Housing Laws and Litigation Conference sponsored by the Fair Housing Council of San Diego on February 15th, at 11:15am. The speech will encompass guidance for attorneys on such topics as conflict of interest, attorney client-relationships, duty, candor and duty of loyalty when litigating fair housing cases. Give us a call and we will make sure one gets to you right away! 10.31.07: Ross is delivering the keynote address on the issue of "The Ethics of Advertising: What Can You Say and When Can you Say It?” before the Community Defenders Seminar at the University of San Diego at noon on January 26, 2008. 10.25.07: TSF reopens today, and we thank you for your patience in the face of this crisis. On an unrelated note, Judy announced that she has recovered from her hike into the Grand Canyon. 08.1.07: “Professor” Slattery has announced that he has accepted a teaching gig at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, but will remain “of counsel” to the firm to facilitate the transition through August 31st. CONGRATULATIONS, JEFF! 07.13.07: Our cherished Grandma Ruby left us today at the age of 105, leaving a legacy of wisdom, humor and love of family. We celebrate her life at our tribute page.
